Empire State Of Mind
Hello dear world!

So the national exams are finally over, it felt as though a huge load has been lifted off my shoulders, really. I'm still contemplating on whether to move on to secondary five to take my O levels or just go to poly straight. I mean, it's been my all-time aspiration to go to the poly but I'm just scared if I don't score well or get a good GPA :(

My holidays mostly revolve around eating and sleeping and just being utterly lazy. I didn't get a job, although I think I should due to the fact that I'm super broke. But meh.

Sooo, just got back from the States a week ago!!!!! IT WAS BEYOND AWESOME. When I went, Hurricane Sandy stroke. So we had to stay in the hotel for one day as the chances of us getting hit was a whopping 80%. The East Coast got hit the worst and sadly I was in the East Coast. But thank God my area wasn't hit super badly as when the hurricane was at it's peak in New York, I was in Boston and we didn't get it that bad. The aftermath was bad, the news mentioned that 65 people in total died and it was really devastating.

We visited places like Harvard College, Massachusetts Institute of Technology(MIT), Quincy Market, Empire State Building, NBC Studios, Times Square and many more!! Statue Of Liberty, UN HQ and Ground Zero was closed due to the hurricane. I really shopped a LOT. The things are ridiculously cheap, well cheaper than Singapore and it was all so pretty. OH YESSSS AND TIMES SQUARE WAS AMAZING. It was as if I was in a dream, the big lights, billboards, people, it was all so amazing. Even with the hurricane, the people were all so nice and cheerful still. Imagine dreaming going to a place that you have always wanted. It was truly magical and at that moment, I swear we were infinite. ;)

It was fall when I went, but it got quite icy and frosty so the fall weather was pretty much gone but even so it was still so beautiful. I would definitely go again it felt like a dream come true (hahaha) really!! :)
